English: The Modulor is a new measurement system devised by Le Corbusier from 1942 to 1945 for the standardization of all the parts involved in the process of mass-construction. He believed architecture for human should reflect human movements. He developed the Modulor based on human measurements in anthropometric scale of proportions to his architecture, as an alternative to the meter matrix. Kim Chung-up as a member of "Atelier Le Corbusier," used the Modulor scale in the Design of many buildings, following Le Corbusier's philosophy of architecture. |
