| Description |
English: There has been heavy fighting in the region in WW I. On many spots one is reminded of it. One of pictures taken of the village where the most striking sights are a fortress and fortifications. A small (and later larger) ferry connected it to Çanakkale. The village is partly built along the side of a steep set of hills, which I often climbed to walk in the countryside on a plateau there. |
