English: Kilgarvan Mural The R569 Kenmare road winds through the village in a series of 'S' bends, the second of which snakes around this house and its mural. Painted by local artist Mellissa Crawford Murphy, the main subject is of Ardtully Castle, a local building of some note, burned by the IRA in 1922 http://archives.tcm.ie/thekingdom/2003/11/27/story11521.asp. |
