| Description |
English: Kilconquhar Castle, Fifeshire, was built on a site half a mile to the north east of Kilconquhar village in the late 1500s. ref: https://archive.org/stream/castellateddomes05macguoft#page/304/mode/2up In the 1830s it was turned into a baronial mansion by the architect William Burn. The castle was badly damaged by fire in 1979, and is now the centre of a time-share holiday resort. |
