Description
English: Youth participants bike along the second leg of the race during the Marine Corps Community Services’ annual Sprint Triathlon Relay and Kids Triathlon at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Aug. 15, 2015. Service members and families in the local community had friendly competition in the multisport event. After the adults’ endurance swim, bike and run, the younger athletes followed suit in a less daunting 150-meter swim, eight-mile bike ride and three-mile run. Children below the age of 9 swam 100 meters, rode bike for three miles and ran for 1 ½ miles.
