English: A view of the old town of Leh also known as Kharyog established in 15th century AD. Leh was an important town on ancient silk route and has many historic buildings some of which are more thn 400 years old. The major buildings in this picture are Leh Palace (17th Century), Onpo House (18th Century), Shangara House (18th Century), Lonpo House (17th Century), Chamba Lakhang (16th Century) and Tsemo Castle (15th Century). |
