Summary

[edit]
Description Relief with architecture. Limestone. Origin: Memphis. New Kingdom, late eighteenth-early nineteenth dynasty (1550 to 1186 BC). Petrie Museum, University College, London (UC 408). This relief recalls the architecture of the courtyards surrounded by colonnades that preceded the graves of the Memphite region. An offering table is represented in the center. It is loaded with figured victuals according to the codes of the folded perspective which gives an impression of stacking.
