Description
English: The prophet beast "kudan" print of Tenpo 7 (1836) kawaraban. This woodblock print, it should be noted, is visibly printed on a piece of wood (wood grains can be discerned). The imprint reads: Tango no kuni Yosa [no] kōri nanigashi ban 丹後国与謝郡何某板, literally "Wooden board of anonymous [in] Yosa-no-kōri, Tanba Province (part of it remains today as en:Yosa District, Kyoto)", though "板 (wooden board)" sometimes signifies "版 (print)".
