Summary
[edit]DescriptionKeti Kesu, Tana Toraja 1373.jpg |
English: Traditional Village. Kete Kesu, Sulawesi
Kete Kesu is one of the villages that has been designated by the Indonesian government as a national heritage site and, more practically speaking, as a tourist destination. It is arranged in the traditional way, with granaries to the left and houses to the right. The buildings are of course modern, but the boat shape of their roofs is very old, and is thought to trace back to the seafaring origin of this Austronesian people. |
