Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Totem Heritage Center, Ketchikan, Alaska, U.S., provides a climate-controlled environment for display of some of the last 19th-century totem poles in Alaska, mainly Haida and Tlingit. If I understand correctly, the poles continue to be owned by their respective tribes and clans, and are considered to be on long-term loan for display at the museum. Here, some of the more fragile poles are displayed in glass cases.
