Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Demonstrates a typical ketone to hemiketal to ketal transformation. Ketals are carbons which make single bonds to two R groups and two OR groups. Ketals fall under the larger class of Acetals by the IUPAC definition, but colloquially an acetal group is a carbon which is bonded to a single R group, two -OR groups, and a hydrogen atom.
