Description Nova Scotia was origineel een Franse kolonie en was L`Acadie genaamd. In 1713 werd het op een of ander verdrag toegewezen aan Engeland waarna 12 000 Acadiens en Acadiennes gedeporteerd werden naar andere engelse kolonies en Europa, een 3000-tal kon ontsnappen door zich te verbergen in de bossen. Na een ander verdrag 50 jaar later konden de Acadiens stilaan terugkeren, maar nu nog zijn ze verspreid over heel de wereld. Dit hele verhaal ten spijt heb ik het dorpje dus niet kunnen bezoeken, alles is hier immers gesloten van oktober tot mei voor de winter. Oudste kerkje, stamt van de tijd toen er hier vooral franse kolonisten woonden.
