This is a dance representation of the returning of lord Ram and his wife Sita from their 14 year old exile in the forest.
Summary

English: Lord Ram and his wife Seeta(hindu mythological characters). According to the holy book Ramayan, Ram and his wife were told to go into exile of 14 years in the forest. They were accompanied by his brother Laxman (because of his love towards his brother) as well. During their period in forest, seeta was kidnapped by Ravan. This caused a major war between Ram and Ravan. The war for love. This picture represents the returning of Lord Ram, Seeta and Laxman after their exile. The above picture is a dance art form known as Kathakali which depicts different mythological and ancient stories in the form of dance.
