Summary

[edit]
Description

A view from inside Chandrasekharan Nair (Police) Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum for the uninitiated) Capital of the South Indian State of Kerala. On the left is the Saint Jospeh's Metropolitan Cathedral and to the right the Palayam Juma Masjid. There are also another Church and a Hindu Temple (not in the frame) nearby, a standing testimony to the religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence of plural religions. The Stadium is named after Mr. N. Chandrasekharan Nair, the First Inspector General of Independent Travencore-Cochin State and later after reorganization of States in 1956, the first IG of Kerala.
