English: Kent Estuary, Arnside It is hard to believe that the muddy estuary beach here at Arnside attracted Victorian holidaymakers after the railway was built; in fact, Arnside is now a pleasant enough place - less so, perhaps, on a dull winter's afternoon as in this view. A train rumbles across the 522 yard long viaduct heading towards Carnforth and Lancaster. |
