English: 1650-1700. Copper alloy, cast, double oval loop buckle. Length 25.8mm, Width 21.1mm, Thickness 3.1mm, Weight 1.9g. Narrow central tongue bar with remains of rust from the iron tongue. Plain oval loop with rounded edges, possible traces of silvering intact but very corroded condition. Ref: Buckles 1250-1800, Ross Whitehead, Greenlight Publishing 1996, pages 70-71.
