Description
English: 1575-1700. Copper alloy, cast, double loop asymmetrical buckle. Length 22.6mm, Width 22.5mm, Thickness 3mm, Weight 3.8g. Plain type of buckle with the rectangular shape loop slightly curved over and the rusty remains of an iron tongue, now missing with slight wear facet left on the central tongue bar. Dark brown patina with some slight surface corrosion. Ref: Buckles 1250-1800, Ross Whitehead, Greenlight Publishing 1996, page 90, No. 560.
