Description
English: 1350-1650. Copper alloy, cast, broken half of a double oval loop or spectacle buckle with a narrow central strap bar and bevelled inside edge. Truncated Length 25.7mm, Width 24.9mm, Thickness 2.9mm, Weight 2.4g. Small spot of gilding intact but minus the tongue. Rather worn and corroded condition. Ref: Buckles 1250-1800 Ross Whitehead, Greenlight Publishing 1996 page 53 No. 291.
