Description
English: 1570-1700. Copper alloy, cast, very small double loop rectangular buckle. Length 19mm, Width 11.5mm, Thickness 2mm, Weight 1.2g. Small lobed knop at either end of the strap bar. The outside edges are rounded but the inside are bevelled. There is a small rusty stain in the centre of the strap bar from a once iron tongue. There are also traces of tinning on the surface and a grey/green patina but some areas of surface corrosion. Ref.
