Description

This is a panorama (hence the curve) of the west face of the north-wing. It is not pretty – looking more like a World War II bunker than Scottish Baronial architecture. Again there is some corbelling which provides no apparent purpose other than decoration; however this is above the only part of the building that can clearly be dated back before 1700. Whether the top floor and its corbelling dates back that far or not, is hard to say.

Right over on the left, barely visible, and un-noticed by me until I was mucking around with the photograph, there is a TV antenna – which does at least tell us that the building was used within the last 50 or so years!
