Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Kelvin Valley West Junction The metal bridge is no more, but the supports can still be seen on the west bank of Glazert Water. Trains from Kirkintilloch could travel north along the Campsie Branch to Lennoxtown (and on to Aberfoyle) which was double track all the way, or diverge here on a small piece of linking track to join the Kelvin Valley Railway on its way to Kilsyth. This west-east single track route link allowed trains from Queen Street to travel to Kilsyth, via Lenzie, Kirkintilloch and here - at the Kelvin Valley West junction.
