Description
English:
Late Baroque, circa 1780, listed, corner, one storey residential building. Ege house. Built to Miklós Ege mayor and city judge. There is a Madonnna niche statue Close to this building stand the Fisherman Bastion (built in 1551) After its defensive role was not needed, a gate was cut at him, which meant the third entrance to the city. In 1835, it was demolished when the city moat was covered, and parts of it were reinforced with new houses. - 5 Kelcz-Adelffy Street (Bem József Street corner), Kőszeg, Vas County, Hungary.

Lakóház, Ege-ház, copf, 1780 körül, homlokzatán barokk Madonna-fülkeszobor. azonosító: 9089, törzsszám: 7872 Műemlék táblájának felirata "Az épület elődje a Halász-bástya közelében állt. Ege Miklós városbíró és polgármester (1867-70) tulajdonába került ház 1780-ban épült copf stílusban. Ékessége a kőkeretes kapu és az emeleti fülkében élló Mária-szobor." Megj. a Halász-bástya vélhetően a városfal 'Fürdős-torony később Halász-kapu' épületrészéhez tartozott. A helyiek által Badstube-nek is nevezett bástya 1551-ben készült el, már az ostrom tapasztalatok következtében. A két saroktorony tehermentesítésére készült, hogy a falakat ostromlók közelebbről és hatékonyabban tarthassák tűz alatt. 1572-ben 34 fős őrséget és 20 szakállas puskát rendeltek ide. Miután védelmi szerepére nem volt szükség, kaput vágtakrá, ami a harmadik bejáratát jelentette a városnak. 1835-ben a városárok beépítésekor bontották vissza, egyes részeivel az új házakat erősítették.
