Mbah Muradji (75) is a preserver of the Kebo-keboan Tradition in Alasmalang Village, Banyuwangi Regency. When asked when the reason was active in preserving the art tradition, he explained that, the tradition he lived since 1960 is a hereditary cultural heritage of his great-grandfather, Buyut Karti (late) who was the founder of the tradition of kebo-keboan in the area in the early 18th Century AD . . "In 1994, I was a representative of Banyuwangi Regency in the East Java Cultural Week, which was then located in Jember Regency, East Java. In the National event, Thank God I was able to refute Banyuwangi Regency by successfully entering as the Top 10 Best Local Culture in Indonesia. " He continued by showing photos when acting out the kebo-keboan. At present the tradition is continued by her children. |
