Kebo-keboan Alasmalang, Banyuwangi. On 1 Suro Month (Hijiri New Year) in the Javanese calendar every year, the Alasmalang Community, Banyuwangi Regency, routinely holds the Ngider Bumi event. In the procession or Ngider Bumi, Dewi Sri as a symbol of Dewi Padi (Goddess of Fertility) riding on a stretcher pulled by 2 people decorated with buffalo (kebo), this is a symbol of the gratitude of the local community for God's Blessings of God's Blessings. Most Gracious, good health blessings, fortune, long life and others. There are several series of events in the Earth Ngider ceremony, including: 1. Installation of the Planted Gate (done a week before the event begins); 2. Decking the Village Gate (Done e the day before the ceremony); 3. Village selametan and planting palawija (A day before the ceremony) 4. Festival Kebo-keboan and procession (Ngider Bumi) |
