Description
English: c/n 2001. The KAT-1 was designed as a primary trainer for the Japanese Air Defense Force. This is the first of the two prototypes built and first flew in 1954. The type lost out to the T-34 Mentor and did not go into production. The prototype was then operated by the Ministry of Transport Flight Academy until retired in October 1962. It joined the museum in April 2002. She remains on display in Area A3 at Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum, Kakamigahara, Gifu. 13th March 2020
