English: The Holy Trinity Cathedral in Žilina is the most important and oldest building in the city. It dates back to the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries and during its existence not only served as a church, but occasionally - especially when the robber knights of Podmanice ruled in Žilina - and the fortress.
Slovenčina: Katedrála Najsvätejšej Trojice v Žiline je najvýznamnejšou a najstaršou stavbou mesta. Pochádza z prelomu 14. a 15. storočia a počas svojej existencie plnila nielen funkciu kostola, ale občas – najmä v dobe, keď v Žiline vládli lúpežní rytieri Podmanickí – aj pevnosti.
