Deutsch: Kastenförmige Bottichwaschmaschine. Sehr frühe einfache Bauweise.
Die Maschine ist fast komplett aus Holz, nur die Mechanik, die Beschläge und ein paar Verbindungsschrauben sind aus Metall. Durch Hin- und Herbewegen des am Deckel angebrachten Griffs wurde die Holzscheibe mit den 4 Zapfen in Bewegung gesetzt und die Wäsche in der Waschmaschine bewegt. Wäschestücke, die in die Ecken der Waschmaschine gewandert sind werden wohl dort auch bei Bewegung der Scheibe geblieben sein .. Die Waschmaschine ist sehr ähnlich der im Berliner Adressbuch von 1888 als Anzeige abgebildeten Waschmaschine des Berliner Unternehmers O.R. Nitsch, Ehemalige Wasch-, Wring-, Mangel- und Buttermaschinenfabrik in der Berliner Schöneberger Straße 4 (Quelle Wikimedia Commons). |
