Description
Deutsch: Das Kastell Buch, auch Kastell Rainau-Buch genannt, ist ein ehemaliger römischer Garnisonsort, der nahe am Rätischen Limes, einem UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, zur Grenzsicherung errichtet wurde. Die Reste der Fortifikation liegen auf der Gemarkung des zur Gemeinde Rainau gehörenden Dorfes Buch im Ostalbkreis im östlichen Baden-Württemberg. Brunnen 9 barg auf der 10,5 Meter tiefen Sohle zusammen mit einer kleinen Holzplastik ein fast vollständiges Kettenhemd des 3. Jahrhunderts und daneben einen ausgezeichnet erhaltenen Bronzehelm vom Typ Niederbieber, der offensichtlich als Halbfabrikat in den Boden kam.
