Summary
[edit]DescriptionKarstwannen+Flüsse Schwäbische Alb.jpg |
English: Karstwannen (German) should be destinguished from sinkholes and poljes, structural basins or plains. These kind of closed depressions rather resemble an "uvala".
Swabian Jura has Karstwannen up to 4 to 2,5km in size with up to 100 Dolines (small sinkholes). Karstwannen developed in late Pliocene and Pleistocene, when karstification progressed. Most Karstwannen developed in the northern part of the Alb. Bayer/Groschopf, Karstwannen...", 1989. |
