Summary
[edit]DescriptionKarstquelle Lauterursprung NSG-Kleines-Lautertal Schwaebische-Alb.jpg |
English: Dammed Karst spring of the „Small Lauter“, tributary of the river Blau, Swabian Alb. River Blau itself flows into the Danube at Ulm. The karst spring’s water fed the hydropower station next to it. The power station from 1893 is now a historical technical monument. The narrow valley of the Lauter was deeply eroded. The upper section is now a dry valley. Part of the dry valley and 3,5km of the Lauter’s 6,2km are a protected nature reserve. Here the rivulet meanders unregulated through meadows and fields. |
