Description
Svenska: Varvsbild från Karlskrona, sannolikt hösten 1782. Laverad tuschteckning av okänd konstnär. Teckningen är beskuren och är försedd med en påklistrad kant.

De större fartygen torde vara, räknat från vänster, Hedvig Elisabet Charlotta, sjösatt 1781, Gustaf III, sjösatt 1777, i skepsskjulet (Wasa-skjulet) Kronprins Gustaf Adolph och på stapelbädden intill fregatten Bellona, vilka nybyggnader kölsträcktes 18 juli 1782 och sjösattes 6 nov 1782, samt i Polhemsdockan Adolph Fredrik, sjösatt 1775. Fartyget intill Wasa-skjulet förande preussisk flagg är troligen en lastdragare som till varvet fraktat det timmer (ekplankor ?) som ligger upplagt invid skjulets fot. Varvet importerade på denna tid mycket ekvirke från Pommern.

1940 då motortorpedbåtslipen skulle byggas å Lindholmen (Karlskrona) uppfördes först en fångdamm varefter vattnet utpumpades. Man hittade då en pråm lastad med ekplankor av samma typ som man kan se på akvarellen.
