Description
Deutsch: Blick vor 1896 vom Leineschloss auf den schon damals umzäunten Schlossplatz, auf dem vom Holzmarkt und von der Leinstraße eine mit Pickelhauben geschmückte musizierende Militärkapelle einmarschiert, beobachtet von zahlreichen Kindern und Bürgern Hannovers. An der Schlossstraße ist das Gebäude mit der Aufschrift "Louis Heermann" zu erkennen, Hinter dem Holzmarkt, auf dem hier der Holzmarktbrunnen augenscheinlich noch nicht aufgestellt wurde, ist an der Pferdestraße (wo sich heute das Historische Museum Hannover befindet), die Eisenwarengroßhandlung von Oscar Winter zu erkennen. In der Bildmitte schaut im Hintergrund die Turmspitze der Kreuzkirche über die Dächer. Am rechten Bildrand findet sich das Geschäft der Gebrüder Bengen ....
