| Description |
English: This is an partial Airview of the village of Kangiqsualujjuaq taken from a DH6 Twin-Otter in April 2006. Just up of the village is the Very Large Bay (Kangiqsualujjuaq in Inuktitut) for which the village is named. To the right of the bay (out of the picture) is the George River. The largest blue building of the picture (center of the part of the village) is the Kangiqsualujjuaq Co-Op, one of the two main stores in town (the other being a Northern). To the center far left, five houses are visible. These are part of the line of houses that are placed on a single road. This road stretches out from the rest of the village.
Français : Cette photographie est une vue aérienne partielle du village de Kangiqsualujjuaq. Elle fut prise d'un DH6 Twin-Otter en Avril 2006. Juste au-dessus du village, sur la photographie, est la Très Grande Baie (en Inuktitut, Kangiqsualujjuaq, d'où le nom du village). Plus à droite encore que la limite de la photographie est la rivière George. Le plus grand édifice bleu au milieu de cette partie du village est la Co-Op de Kangiqsualujjuaq, un des deux magasins principaux du village (l'autre étant le Northern). À gauche, au milieu de la photographie, on peut voir cinq maisons sur une seule rue. C'est le bras du village qui se démarque du reste du village. |
