English:
Calvary chapel (Mater dolorosa?). Oldest part built in 1739 (till 1748). Baroque. Extended with tower in 1779. Facade wide: 5m. Tower hieght: 14m. Cross: 1m. Pilasters, tympanun, stone vases ornaments. Builder master: Jochannes Hock. On its facade, above the door is the 'Marck Tolnau' sandstone relief (1779) shows a couple notable, 18th century buildings of Tolna (church, R.C. rectory, Franciscan monastery, an Inn or Brewery and the Festetich mansion.). Before the crucifix a circa half meter high Mater Dolorosa statue stand, this and the two other calvary crosses destroyed in the 1940s. Kálvária kápolna (Fájdalmas Szűzanya,) több ütemben, barokk stílusban épült 1739 (máshol 1739-1748) majd 1779-ben. A homlokzat szélessége 5 m, a torony magassága 14 m, a kereszt 1 m. A homlokzat leírása: körbefutó kőlábazat fölött a főhomlokzat mélyített falmezőjét egy-egy egyszerű fejezetben végződő pilaszter tagolja. A felette lévő kőpárkányt az oromzaton timpanon zárja le. A homlokzat második szintjének szélein egy-egy pilléren dísztelen kőváza áll. Huszártoronyként illeszkedő hagymasisakos harangtorony. A négyzet keresztmetszetű, hasáb alakú torony alsó részét faltükör tagolja, és körbefutó öv párkány osztja ketté. A következő szinten a téglalap alakú harangablakot két oldalt egy-egy lizéna határolja. A kápolnát Markmiller Bertalan állíttatta, Berényi Zsigmond püspök jóváhagyásával. Az építkezés kezdetén a kápolna torony nélkül épült, Jochannes Hock építőmester felügyeletével. 1779-ben bővítették és tornyot építettek hozzá, valamint ekkor helyezték el a kőkeretes vasalt bejárati ajtó fölé téglány alakú a Marck Tolnau feliratú barokk, homokkő domborművet, melyen Tolna jellegzetes XVIII. század végi épületei láthatók 1779-es évszámmal, Marck Tolnau felirattal. A domborművőn alul középen hármas halom és az 1779-es évszám, fölötte a város jellegzetes épületei: középütt a plébániatemplom, tőle balra lent a plébánia épülete, fölötte a ferences rendház kereszttel megjelölve, jobbra lent nagyméretű épület, boltíves kapubejárattal, a tetőablakból kiálló rúdon zászló vagy cégér– talán a fogadó épülete vagy a sörház–, fölötte a Festetich nagykastély látható. A tábla felirata Marck Tolnau.
