Summary

Description	In the Space Station Processing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, operations are underway to closeout processing of the agency's Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment III, or SAGE III, instrument. Since December of 2015, engineers and technicians have prepared the device for its launch to the International Space Station later this year aboard a Dragon spacecraft launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Once at the station, the agency's SAGE III instrument will take long-term measurements of ozone, aerosols and other trace gasses to help scientists better understand how to monitor and protect the Earth’s atmosphere.
