English: Kosovo Force Regional-Command East units participated in a training exercise April 21, 2020 at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.
Spc. Zacarey Keith, an EOD technician with RC-E’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal, said EOD partnered with RC-E’s Military Police detachment during a classroom presentation and hands-on training exercise. “We shared knowledge of procedures and methods for locating vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices during military-police vehicle searches,” said Keith. “We focused on learning indicators of a suspected IED in the classroom and then applied what we learned in practical exercises”. The MP and EOD units look forward to sharing knowledge with one another in joint training exercises, said Spc. Joseph Leon, a MP patrolman. “We enjoy cultivating a great relationship with EOD and other RC-E units,” said Leon. “Together our respective units make up one team with a common mission.” RC-E’s MP and EOD units are charged with ensuring the safety and security and freedom of movement for all the people of Kosovo.
