English: A struck copper-alloy unit of Massalia (Marseilles) c. 200-175 BC (Reece Period 1). Obverse: head of Apollo left; reverse: bull butting right. Identified by David Holman pers. comm. who comments that this coin is 'the immediate prototype of the Kentish Primary Series potins'.
