KENT-EB35B7. Decorative double rectangular loop buckle. Front view.
Description
English: 1450-1600. Copper alloy, cast, broken two-thirds of a once double rectangular loop decorative strap buckle. Length 37.9mm, Truncated width 27.6mm, Thickness 6.5mm, Weight 12.1g. Moulded baluster shaped end which has a notch for the pin that is of sheet metal construction, the strap bar is slightly recessed. One decorative end is missing. There is a green patina but also some surface corrosion present. Ref. Buckles 1250-1800, Ross Whitehead, Greenlight Publishing 1996, page 78 No. 477.
