Description
English: Possible 343AD-348AD. Romano-British barbarous imitation of Constantius II or Constans AE4. Length 16.4mm, Width 15.5mm, Thickness 1.6mm, Diameter 16.4mm, Weight 1.7g. Obverse: Bust without drapery right. Inscription: blundered legend (BRIT HAH). Reverse: Seated figure holding a possible sceptre and globe - possibly Roma. Inscription: No legend visible. Mint name: British by provenance. Die Axis: 170 deg. or nearly 6 o'clock. Worn/poorly struck with an attractive dark brown patina and with some surface rusty brown stain/surface deposits. Ref.
