Title
KENT-D1DC12. Anglo-Saxon nummular brooch, reverse.
Description
English: Cast lead alloy nummular brooch. The brooch is circular with upturned rim. The front of the rim is decorated with a series of small dots or rings. The centre of the brooch appears to show a very faint bust right, surrounded by ring-and-dots, probably derived from rings of filigree. The reverse retains the hinge and catchplate. Nummular brooches date to the 9th and 10th centuries AD.
