Description
English: A silver denarius of Caracalla dating to the period AD 196 to 198 (Reece period 10). PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS reverse type depicting Caracalla standing left holding baton and spear; to right a trophy. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, p. 213, no. 13. There is a small, semi-circular cut-out between 11 and 12 o'clock on the obverse which may be deliberate damage
