Description |
English: 1720-1790. Copper alloy, sub rectangular garter/stock/knee, medium size buckle with drilled frame for seperate spindle. Length 30.4mm, Width 17.0mm, Thickness 3.4mm, Weight 2.6g. Plain, complete with centre-piece, with two fixed tongues, no chape. The frame shows hand filing/finishing marks on inside the frame as well as on the back. There are remains of tinning or silvering on the surface - very little corrosion, except for a spot of rust at each end of the spindle. Ref.
