Description
English: A Medieval copper alloy brooch, probably dating from the 13th - 15th century. The open work frame is trefoil in plan with a 'D' shaped cross section. It has a narrowed constriction in one of the lopes for the pin which is now missing. The edges of the frame has been beveled and the reverse is flat. Bothsurfaces are undecorated. More highly decorated examples in silver have been recorded onto the database KENT-64A6F4 or YORYM-126AF2. A very similar example is copper alloy has aslo been recorded PUBLIC-F37284. None these examples have been parralelled with excavated material, so a wide 13th - 15th century has been suggeted.

The object is 15.3mm long, 12.35mm wide, 4.6mm thick and weighs 1.25 grams.
