[edit]DescriptionKC-135A refueling KC-135R prototype 1982.JPEG | A U.S. Air Force Boeing KC-135A-BN Stratotanker (s/n 62-3556) refueling the prototype KC-135R (s/n 61-0293) on 2 November 1982. 61-0293 had originally been converted to an EC-135A radio relay link aircraft. It was then the first C-135 fitted with CFM56 turbofan engines. Note the difference to the J57 tubojet engines of the KC-135A. 62-3556 was later also converted to an KC-135R. |
