KATHRYN McGUIRE was born in Peoria, Illinois, on December 6th., 1903, and later lived in Chicago. She was educated in the Jennings Seminary, at Aurora. Ill., and when 14 years of age went to Los Angeles with her family where she entered the Hollywood High School. Her ambition at that time was to become a famous dancer, and with that in view she undertook the study of dancing seriously. As a member of a dancing group in a leading Pasadena Hotel, she was seen by Thomas H. Ince who engaged her to do a solo dance in a Dorothy Dalton production. Universal followed with similar offers, and she was soon cast for regular roles in Sennett Comedies. Miss McGuire is a delightful little person, possessing a wealth of personal charm. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 120 lbs., and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
