Description
English: Philippine Marine Pfc. Cris Jade drives his assault amphibious vehicle during an amphibious exercise as part of exercise KAMANDAG 3 at Katungkulan Beach, Marine Barracks Gregorio Lim, Philippines, Oct. 12, 2019. The United States is proud to participate in this Philippine-led, bilateral exercise in order to develop capabilities across a wide range of military operations. Jade, a native of Dipolog City, Philippines, is an AAV driver with Assault Armor Battalion. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase“Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
