English: It is an ancient Buddhist archaeological site situated near Mirpurkhas Sindh. Excavations revealed a Buddhist stupa from the site. This ancient site is spread over 32 acres (120,000 m2). During the British rule in 19th century. General John Jacob, the acting British Commissioner in Sindh was first to be attracted to the site. His excavations found a vase of fine earthenware containing some pieces of crystal and amethyst, the stupa was decorated using terracotta sculptures representing the Buddha The artwork is similar to that seen at Sarnath and at Mathura. Clay tablets containing the Buddhist formula "Ye Dharma Hetu" in 7th-8th script were also found it was protected by the Federal Department of Archaeology & Museums Government of Pakistan under the antiquity act 1975, during the period of under federal government, as due to very close to the city as well as lake of looking after mostly the area was encroached by the peoples whom constructed their houses in the protected area. But after 18th amendment in 31st March 2011 the site was transferred to the Culture, Tourism and Antiquity Department Government of Sindh who has taken keen interest with the result all the encroachments were removed and protected the site by providing the barbed wire fencing all around the site. However the main significant stupa is now not exist and has been disappeared in the past.
