Description
English: 2 Tier balcony design of the Rear Mandapa, and Friezes at Chennakeshava Temple, Belur, Karnataka, India. The bottom three rows of friezes show Elephants for strength, Lions for valour and Horses for speed. The creeper design above and figurines of dancers, musicians adorn the balcony at ground level. Sculptures of gods and goddesses on the walls, as well as variety of pillars and carved grills adorn the first level. 2nd level includes more such depictions of pillars and carved grills, creeper designs and variety of artistes.
