Čeština: Kříž se nachází nedaleko Mlčeňského mlýna, který vlastnila rodina Kühnelů. Po mlynáři Janu Kühnelovi mlýn převzala Julie (provdaná Vitásková) a Alžběta Kühnelová. V druhé polovině 19. století Julie těžce onemocněla a na radu lékaře trávila čas právě v Mlčeni (jinak bydlela v Mladé Boleslavi a mlýn pouze pronajímala). Uzdravila se a na důkaz vděčnosti nechala vystavět křížek.
Kříž byl v roce 1975 a v devadesátých letech poničen.
English: The cross is located near the Mlčeň mill, which was owned by the Kühnel family. Julie (married Vitásková) and Alžběta Kühnelová took over the mill after miller Jan Kühnel. In the second half of the 19th century, Julie became seriously ill and, on the doctor's advice, spent her time in Mlčeň (otherwise, she lived in Mladá Boleslav and only rented out the mill). She recovered and had a cross erected as a sign of gratitude.
The cross was vandalized in 1975 and in the 1990s.
Deutsch: Das Kreuz befindet sich in der Nähe der Mlčeňské-Mühle, die der Familie Kühnel gehörte. Julie (verheiratet mit Vitásková) und Alžběta Kühnelová übernahmen die Mühle nach dem Müller Jan Kühnel. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erkrankte Julie schwer und verbrachte auf Anraten des Arztes ihre Zeit in Mlčen (ansonsten lebte sie in Mladá Boleslav und vermietete die Mühle nur). Sie erholte sich und ließ als Zeichen der Dankbarkeit ein Kreuz errichten.
Das Kreuz wurde 1975 und in den 1990er Jahren zerstört. |
