Deutsch: Albert Küppers: Marmor-Medaillon für Annie Matilde Ebbinghaus, geb. Pearson (* 6. Dezember 1852 in Valparaiso, † 15. Mai 1885 in Bellagio), seit 1870 die Ehefrau von Carl Alfred Ebbinghaus (* 9. Mai 1833 in Letmathe, † 19. August 1911 in Bonn), dem Vorsitzenden des Vereins Beethoven-Haus; Annie Matilde ist die Mutter des Bildhauers Carl Henry Ebbinghaus (* 2. Juni 1872 in Hamburg, † 21. Oktober 1950 auf Schloss Neuburg am Inn); das Familiengrab befindet sich auf dem Alten Friedhof Bonn; die Angabe, Küppers habe das Medaillon geschaffen (vermutlich für ein älteres Grab), stammt aus den Rheinischen Geschichtsblättern (8. Jahrgang, Nr. 10, Bonn 1907); ihnen zufolge soll der Bildhauer Wilhelm Albermann (1835 – 1913) den Grabpfeiler gestaltet haben. |
